When the CBC responded to his press release announcing El Sonido del Silencio, Pirouz Ebadypour founder of the Peña Bulería Flamenco Club immediately called Edie; an obvious and natural reaction. Edie Hats is the perfect place to host an interview about this particular flamenco show because the interviewee, the producer, and the photographer all work with Edie in various capacities. And Edie herself, the MC for the show, is an ardent supporter of Vancouver’s flamenco community.

Edie loves to share her passions and flamenco is at the top of the pile. She also loves to network and connect people together – that is a big part of what Edie Hats is all about. El Sonido del Silencio shares in this by bringing together artists from four countries: Cristina Hall originally from the US, Pirouz de Caspio originally from Iran, Annette Morcos from Canada, and David and Manuel from Spain. The show also connects and blends old and new, traditional and contemporary styles of flamenco music, song and dance.
