I love Vogue for inspirational purposes. The imagery is always so intentional…meant to be challenging, meant to be inspirational, or even in the case of the advertisements, meant to stand out. I was flipping through the February ‘08 issue and happened across these full-page ads for Mochino and Mulberry. I love how the Mulberry ad presents a strong look where the clothes and accessories are striving for the same goal. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Mochino pairs unlike garments and accessories.

This just would not have been the same without the military style Fidel cap. It’s a perfect example of, “finishing a statement”. The blouses look to be Satin, but have a military flare through the use of buckles and hoops. Great eye make-up, great accessories.

This Mochino advertisement is awesome because the Stetson seen here becomes more of a prop to the photo than a part of the outfit. When was the last time you saw a Mountie in a sheer voluminous empire waist dress?
